BitBox
BitBox02 Nova
Next-gen BitBox with iPhone support and a glass OLED
4.6 Last verified 2026-04-26
Our review
The Nova is a bigger upgrade than the name suggests: it adds iOS support over Bluetooth (which you can disable) and bumps the Secure Chip class to EAL6+. If you have stayed away from BitBox because your daily driver is an iPhone, this is the version that finally fits in 2026. The open source philosophy stays the same.
Best for: iPhone users who want an open source wallet with Swiss provenance
Pros
- First BitBox with iPhone and iPad support over Bluetooth
- Bluetooth can be permanently disabled if you prefer not to use it
- EAL6+ certified Secure Chip (a step up from the classic BitBox02)
- Glass OLED is more scratch-resistant than plastic
Cons
- Higher price than the classic BitBox02
